Microsoft has announced that the October 2021 Xbox Games with Gold are Aaero, Hover, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X.

These four titles represent a value of $74.96 and come with hundreds of Gamesrcore points to earn. Aero (Xbox One) will be available starting October 1 through October 31 while Hover (Xbox One) will be available starting October 16 and lasting until November 15.

On the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility side of things, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair will be available from October 1 through October 15, and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X will be available from October 16 through October 31. These two titles are perfect for anyone trying to play something spooky before the Halloween holiday on October 31.

Aaero is a music-based game that will see players racing through “stunning environments, tracing ribbons of light and fighting epic boss battles” to the tunes of licensed music from Noisia, Flux Pavilion, Katy B, The Prototypes, Neosignal and more. You can watch the official trailer for the game here.

Hover is described by Microsoft as a futuristic 3D open world game where players take control of a group of young rebels known as The Gamers (sick) to fight against oppressive societal laws, all while performing cool hover-based tricks and combos. You can check what that looks like in-game in the official Hover trailer.

If you’re looking for something a little less futuristic and a little more Draculaic, check out Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, a six-player co-op vampire hunting game that sees players running through the Hell House to (hopefully) take down Dracula for good. Check out our thoughts on the game and why we gave it a 7.5 out of 10 in IGN’s Castlevania: Harmony of Despair review.

The final Game with Gold this month is Resident Evil Code: Veronica X. In this game, you’ll control Claire Redfield as she travels across Europe in search of her brother, Chris Redfield, just three months after the destruction of Raccoon City following the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Check out our thoughts on the game before jumping in by reading IGN’s Resident Evil Code: Veronica X review.

Before these Games with Gold go live, be sure to pick up the September 2021 Xbox Games with Gold titles. There’s still time to pick up Warhammer: Chaosbane, Mulaka, and Samurai Shodown II.
